Hello! My name is Dan Koch and I teach 5th grade here at West Elementary. My background prior to Education includes a B.S. in Finance from Murray State University and a M.B.A. in Marketing from Loyola University of Chicago. I worked in Finance and Human Resource Management for ten plus years in corporate settings in Chicago and Evansville. My wife and I have been married for 30 years and have three children ages: 24, 22, and 17. I was fortunate to be a stay-at-home dad for a period of time when they were little - an experience that I feel truly led me to teaching. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, 'Life's most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?' I believe every child comes into this world with great potential for goodness. It's the fostering of that potential that I look forward to every day as a teacher.
